She's Finally Here

Kylie joined us on March 25th at 6:46 PM after a very very long day. Mommy looks pretty good after 11 hours of labor and then under going a Cesarian section


She was a pretty heafty 8 pounds 12.5 oz and over 20 inches long.












We were able to get her dressed in something other than hospital t-shirts so of course we went with the owls



She's got two very proud parents!




She came home with us on Friday and has been doing good since then.

Finally there!

We had our final doctor's appointment today and I'm still just about where I was last week. So they induce at 7am tomorrow morning. We can't believe she's going to be here in less than a day. So we didn't get everything done we wanted to around the house, but you know, we'll have some time to finish things up while we're on LOA and not sleeping anyway! As big of a planner as I am, it does kinda stink having her arrival 'scheduled'. I was really hoping we'd get to have that 'hey it's time to go' opportunity, but no such luck there. We're just excited she'll be here tomorrow and we can start the next chapter! 39 Weeks - Almost There!!!!

Had my doctor's appointment today and everything looked great. He said I'd thinned out over the past week quite a bit and wasn't quite 4 cm dilated, but was almost there....so I'd dilated further! YAY! He said all the aches/pains/problems I've been having are really normal and there's not much they can do, but they should go away a few weeks after Kylie gets here. He also said the sharp pains on my right side are most likely Kylie. He thinks she's got some bony part stuck there off and on and that's what I'm feeling. Well, I go back Wednesday morning for a very quick check - he wants to make sure my blood pressure is okay, then back on Monday, and he's going to induce on Tuesday (our due date) if we haven't had her by then. So 1 week to go or less and we'll have our little one! We can't wait until she gets here and boy can I really not wait! LOL This past week was a long pregnant week and I'm exhausted, but it's all going to be worth it in a week or less! Daddy's getting excited too and is as we speak looking for 'gamer' infant bodysuits. :-) That's it for this week....by the next post, we'll probably have pictures!

38 weeks - 2 to go!

Well - the appointment went well today. I'm still 3 cm. dilated and Dr. Bell says that's probably as far as I'll go without actually being in labor. He said everything is looking good and right on track. Although after last night, I think Kylie is ready to join the party. She kept me up until 2am kicking like crazy - so no sleep continues! It was nice though, Dr.Bell stated that as he's the on call OB on the 25th, that if we haven't had Kylie before my next appointment, he will go ahead and induce me on our due date. So no more than 2 weeks from tomorrow to go! I don't think Kylie's going to wait that long, but at least we have a deadline date! Can't wait until she gets here and joins in the fun....it's been a long wait and a long 38 weeks, but it will all be worth it!

37 weeks!

Well, we're now 37 weeks and really ready to go! We found out yesterday that I am 3 cm. dilated! So it shouldn't be long now! At this point, it's pretty much hurry up and wait and you all know how good I am with that. Rob and I are still figuring we'll have her before the end of next week which sounds great to us. We are looking forward to the new addition as well as the time off work. We're both very glad we are each going to get 7 weeks off with Kylie. Well, that's it for this week - hopefully the next post will have a new baby announcement!
